connection with the creation of its new Institute of Cognitive Sciences,
l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM)
will hold its first graduate summer institute in cognitive sciences
from June 30th to July 11th 2003.

Theme
of the 2003 summer institute
The theme
of the 2003 summer institute is CATEGORISATION as studied through
the lens of the participating disciplines. Each day will bear on a
specific topic (e.g. the nature of categories, syntactic categories,
the acquisition of categories, machine learning, the naturalisation
of categories, semantic categories, the neural basis of categories,
etc.).
Call
for posters
The Summer
Institute in Cognitive Sciences, to be held at UQAM from June 30th
to July 11th, will feature a poster session on Categorization.
