The
Summer Institute in Cognitive Sciences, to be held at UQAM from June
30th to July 11th, will feature a poster session on Categorization.
Who
can submit an abstract?
All registered participants are invited to submit an abstract presenting
their research on categorization in any of the following disciplines:
cognitive anthropology, cognitive computer science, linguistics, cognitive
neuroscience, philosophy and psychology.
Submission
specifications
The anonymous abstracts must be at most 300 words long and include
a title.
Only
e-mail submissions will be considered. Abstracts should be
sent as an attachment to an e-mail message containing the following
information :
- title of the abstract
- author's name
- affiliation
- discipline (cognitive anthropology, cognitive computer science,
linguistics, cognitive neuroscience, philosophy or psychology)
- author's e-mail address and phone number.
Submissions
are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.

your message.
Timetable
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is Friday May 16th, 2003.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent to authors before May 31st,
2003.
Technical
notes
All selected abstracts will be printed and included in the participants'
portfolio. We are also currently looking for a publisher.
The
posters will be 3'X4' (approximately 90 cm X 120 cm); they can hold
up to twelve letter sheets (8.5" X 11").
