Henri Cohen poursuit des recherches en neuropsychologie cognitive, principalement sur les effets des atteintes cérébrales sur le langage et la parole. Ses travaux visent à préciser l'acquisition et le développement du langage auprès de jeunes ayant une atteinte neurologique, les effets des atteintes corticales et sous-corticales sur le langage et la parole et sur le traitement intermodal. Le traitement de la prosodie et l’accès au lexique mental sont étudiés chez le sujet sain. Il collabore également à des études sur l’imagerie motrice.
